Historic Royal Palaces

Guardians to some of the greatest royal residences ever built, Historic Royal Palaces maintain and curate extraordinary heritage venues including the Tower of London, Hampton Court Palace and Kensington Palace, which welcomes an impressive 400,000 visitors a year.

Following a £12 million restoration project of Kensington Palace, the charity required a suite of refreshed souvenir guidebooks - bringing Queen Victoria's childhood home to life for visitors young and old.

Challenge:
With a diverse audience spanning adults and children, domestic and international tourists, history buffs and culture vultures, it was essential both guides excited visitors pre-visit, while also acting as a memento post-visit.

Execution:
Our team created two beautifully crafted guides for the palace featuring bold imagery, dynamic layouts, informative content and charming illustrations. The books proved so popular a reprint was ordered within the first 2 months. Open have since been commissioned to bring the same magic to Tower of London's souvenir guidebooks.
